Tortuga Bar is the solo-project of Mark Kowarsch (Sharon Stoned, Speed Niggs, Elektrosushi). It took almost 3 years of songwriting and organization to release the debut-album Narcotic Junkfood Revolution with Special Guest appearances, such as Evan Dando (The Lemonheads), Phillip Boa, Virginia Jetzt!, Kate Mosh, Peter Brugger (Sportfreunde Stiller), Navel, Nagel (Muff Potter), David Cunningham (The Flying Lizards), Rummelsnuff, Sedlmeir, Gitbox!, Gisbert Zu Knyphausen, Bernadette La Hengst, Klaus Cornfield - to name only a few - make Tortuga Bar's debut a unique treasure. VierSieben Records released 3 Tortuga Bar records (Rarities, Remixes, Live) in cooperation with the Sharon Stoned-collection All Death All Of The Time 2015 as part of the non profit-free download-project 74on47. Deep from the Tortuga Bar archives an album with 4-track demos (Demos 2008) and a live acoustic single with cover versions by Daniel Johnston and Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Devil Town / Maps 7'') digged out by Mark Kowarsch himself and released exclusively on Tortuga Bar Bandcamp 2023
